Donna Vekic and Thanasi Kokkinakis pictured playing doubles as Nick Kyrgios cops fine for slut shaming tactic

 The couple at the centre of the controversy surrounding Nick Kyrgios' brutal sledge to Stan Wawrinka had a brief mixed doubles career together.

Australian rising star Thanasi Kokkinakis,19, and Croatian Donna Vekic, 19, who has been romantically linked to Wawrinka since his divorce earlier this year, took the court together to play mixed doubles at the Australian Open in 2014.

They were bounced out of the tournament by Germany's Julia Goerges and Pakistan's Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi.

Pictures of the pair emerged as Kyrgios was fined $US10,000 ($A13,550) after courtside microphones caught him sledging Stan Wawrinka
